Arthritis In Dogs
Arthritis in dogs is quite common
Because of this – there are specific supplements in dog foods to help prevent this.

- NSAIDs – asprin, ibuprofen and Etogesic can help reduce discomfort in your dog. You need to watch the side effects of these meds (they can include liver and kidney issues, bleeding disorders, and gastric ulcers.)
Nutraceuticals
These are a drug in which your dog can take orally on a daily basis.
These are one of the safer options for your pup
They have barely any and mostly no side effects for your dog.

Glucosamine
- This is made up of sugar and amino acids
- This helps the body’s production of joint lubricants and shock absorption
- Responsible for repairing and building cartilage
- Helps with formations for the following – nails, tendons, skin, eyes, bone and ligaments to name a few.
- It comes from lobster and crab shells
- Note there are more than one kind of Glucosamine so be sure to buy the sulfate version. It is said to absorb the best.
Chondroitin Sulfate
- Helps prevent stress injuries
- Repairs connective tissues
- Can help repair damaged cartliage
- Reduce joint pain
