Hemandiosarcoma
Hemandiosarcoma is cancer of the Liver and the Spleen.
This cancer is known to spread to other parts of the body – and it is known as malignant. This means that the cancer will get worse.
To make it easy to understand – this cancer is tumors in the blood vessels.
It begins as a large mass in the spleen/liver and spreads through the blood cell routes.
This can sometimes spread to the heart or the brain.
Hemandiosarcomas are fed by blood vessels – so because of this they fill with blood and could burst
This would lead to internal bleeding – and if your dog isn’t operated on immediately then it could result in death
50% of the tumors are found in the spleen, 7% of tumors are malignant.
They say this happens more often to male dogs, and more so between 8-10 years of age
Saying this, a dog of any age can get this cancer. It in unknown what causes this cancer.
