These dogs are prone to getting something known as Cherry eye (there is a photo below)
It is a common problem in dogs who have protruding eyes
What happens is the tear producing duct pushing forward – popping out the side of the eye
It is called cherry eye because it is normally red, and round.
This can only be fixed with surgery
These dogs can also easily get dry-eye, entropion (turned in eye lids) and cataracts
