Health Issues – Chihuahua
These dogs along with other *toy* breeds are known to have collapsed trachea.
A Chihuahua are more prone to this.
What happens is the cartilage which holds the trachea open is to weak, causing the trachea to flatten.
A dog can sometimes go their whole life with a flatten trachea – with it only affecting their voice.
But sometimes medicine and surgery is necessary.
The surgery will help the trachea open again.
