How To Keep Your Dog From Eating Their Poop

Does Your Dog Lick EVERYTHING??

.

This seems like harmless behavior, if anything you may think your dog is a little crazy when they lick strange things.

I know my dog tends to lick walls, and the floors… and not just once or twice. (But she literally licks it for like ten minutes straight!!)

This can obviously be a problem if your dog licks something dangerous, which could potentially harm your dog. – this could also lead to your dog ingesting things he shouldn’t.

Of course as a puppy, they tend to lick things anyway as a means of exploring and learning – so this is normal behavior. But if this carries on excessively this could mean your pup could have a medical condition.

Dogs could also lick to help them feel less nauseous when they are feeling sick this or it could be a sign of dental disease.

Does Your Dog Love The Rubbish??

.

There are a few dogs that love to roll in the garbage – there aren’t real reasons as to why they do this.

Here are a few theories – they are said to do it to mask their own scent to hide from predators, or they do it to let their fellow dogs know if there is food nearby or not, or they try to cover the smell of the garbage with their own scent. Of course, they could also want the dog bones inside the packet too 😉

.

Does Your Dog Follow You Around The House??

.

Dogs don’t like being alone, they are pack animals. So unlike humans, they don’t like sometimes having their alone time. They want to always be around someone. This could lead to them being under your feet all the time. It may not be a problem unless they struggle and act out when you leave the house completely, this could lead to them showing destructive behavior.

In many cases you may find that your dog can overcome being left alone relatively quickly, by leaving them alone for certain periods of time. Just to get them into the habit of knowing that it is okay to be alone. Some dogs may feel scared that you may never return. The fear is real.

.

Does Your Dog Walk In Circles To Get Comfortable Before Sleeping??

Back in the ancestry times, the dogs would walk in circles to make the grass and ground flat and more comfortable before they sleep. Doing this would also help scare aware any nearby bugs so that the dog doesn’t squash any or hurt themselves by sitting on a dangerous bug!

And lastly, this would also show the other dogs in the pack that that SPOT was taken. 🙂
